WWE was given a massive boost at the weekend when The Biggest Little Man - Rey Mysterio - announced he would be returning to the ring next month.

Rey was speaking at a WWE house show in Fresno California, addressing the crowd about his recent absence.

The former World Heavyweight Champion has been out of action since March when a story-lined attack from Mark Henry was used as cover for Rey's legitimate knee surgery.

Rey was hoping to return at Summerslam last weekend (The pay-per-view where Rey made his WWE debut 11-years earlier), but it seems his rehabilitation was a lot further behind than first thought and he was not medically cleared to compete.

It is rumoured that Rey will be thrown back into a storyline with World Champion Alberto Del Rio on his return after his whole "Mexico's greatest Export" promo. The rumour is it will end with Rey winning the title before dropping it to Damien Sandow.

Former WWE Superstar Goldberg has also hinted that if he returned to WWE, he would like to face The Undertaker or Steve Austin - but not Ryback.

Meanwhile, The Rock has said that he does not want to be merchandised individually for WWE and may not be available for Wrestlemania 30.

This doesn't mean The Rock wont be there at all, it could just mean he wont be wrestling in the event but he could make a guest appearance, the thought is that he won't be on a part time contract next year but may return in 2015.
