Luis Suarez or Gareth Bale?
Both have been linked with Madrid, but who should Real Madrid sign to improve their team?
Luis Suarez is undoubtedly talented, but is very controversial as a player.
After all, who can forget him biting Branislav Ivanovic of Chelsea, or, even more worryingly, his racist comments towards Manchester United’s Patrice Evra.
He does though have stunning close control, a brilliant finish and with 23 goals in 33 games last season’s Premier League, he will more often than not get on the score sheet.
Included in the 2012-13 Team of the Year, Suarez is world class, but is he better than Bale?
Last season’s Premier League Player of the Year enjoyed a stunning campaign. With 21 Premier League goals in 33 games, Bale didn’t score as many as Suarez, but it must be remembered that he is predominantly a left winger.
With blistering pace, pin point crossing and a devilish shot, Bale frightens the life out of teams, but is he a tad overrated?
Yes. In my opinion the former Southampton player is not worth the £93million Madrid are willing to pay for him, in fact he is not worth half of that.
Bale is a fantastic player, but Madrid are only willing to pay that much because they have not made a huge signing since Ronaldo, and they feel they have to live up to their Galactico reputation. Pacey, powerful and direct, Bale is great, but not worth £93million.
So who is better? Comment in the box provided.
