It's fair to say that Arsenal fans have experienced mixed emotions in recent games.
Firstly they had a very promising pre-season, and were expected to spend big. This however all came into doubt when they lost at home to Aston Villa. The majority of the home fans even went to the extent of staying until the end of the game purely to boo Arsene Wenger and his side off the pitch.
The hopes and promises have made a more promising U-turn, due to the club securing wins against Fenerbahce away and Fulham away. They performed well in these games, with players such as Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud showing great promise.
These victories eased a lot of the pressure from Arsene Wenger, which, Arsenal fans will hope, will allow him to concentrate more on completing transfers and adding names and depth to the squad.
The likes of Real Madrid's attacking pair Angel Di Maria and Karim Benzemq, and Newcastle's Yohan Cabaye have been floating around, though no concrete movements have been made.
Yet despite all this, there are those who still believe Arsenal can mess up their season before it has properly begun.
This could be possible if they lose to Fenerbahce in the second leg and fail to qualify for the Champions League. Furthermore, doubts will be cast if they lose to local rivals, Tottenham, and almost certainly if they fail to buy any players.
If any or all of these scenarios come to fruition then Arsenal fans may be more aggravated than ever and put more pressure on Arsene Wenger and the club as a whole.
Arsenal fans will hope Wenger makes some signings and brings in some big names to keep their title challenging and trophy winning hopes alive.
