With only a week to go before the end of the transfer window Arsenal fans are beginning to ponder whether Arsene Wenger will infact jump into the transfer market. But do Arsenal really need to buy?

All the talk for Arsenal has been the recruitment of a proven goal scorer with speculation currently surrounding Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema but with the form of Olivier Giroud and the supporting act of the likes of Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott, Arsenal could possibly look elsewhere in the squad to fill up.

On the wings Arsenal could become short of options if something was to happen to either of the front three as they will have to cover in that position with sacrifices to the midfield. The recent talk of Angel Di Maria would be a brilliant buy for Arsenal with the recent injury of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to worry about but it would also provide more depth to Arsenal's squad while also adding quality.

In midfield Arsenal again look short with injury to Mikel Arteta Arsenal has to rely on Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky to stay fit which could become a problem with their questionable injury record, Mathieu Flamini could be an unpopular choice for the Gunners faithful to deal with but he does bring more depth to a weakened squad while his ability to play in several different positions will please the manager.

Arsenal's last area of focus should be on a right back, Bacary Sagna looks more capable in the heart of the defense now with Thomas Vermaelen and Laurent Koscielny are both ruled out and while Carl Jenkinson is a good covering act he is still developing and bringing in another player to compete with him might be what he needs

Whether Arsenal dips into their war chest remains to be seen but the fans can hope that they see at least two new additions to their squad this window other than Yaya Sanogo
