Real Madrid are hoping that they can unveil Gareth Bale as a new signing as early as tomorrow, according to Marca.com.
The Spanish website insists that Los Blancos are ready to announce their capture of the Tottenham winger today, before presenting him to home fans within 24 hours.
It is believed that their haste is so that Bale can play for them in their next fixture; a clash in the Teresa Herrera Trophy against Deportivo.
According to Marca, Tottenham and Madrid reached an agreement for Bale last Wednesday, agreeing on a price of £85million, making the Welshman the most expensive player in the history of the sport.
The only reason Madrid have not yet officially confirmed their purchase is because Tottenham asked them to delay their the news for a few days in order to conclude negotiations of their own.
Reportedly, Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has reignited his interest in central defender Vlad Chiriches of Steaua Bucharest, who would cost around £8.5million. The Romanian defender has become the top target for Spurs after they lost out on the signing of Brazilian midfielder Willian to Chelsea.
