Without being surprised, most of the players are from La Liga and the Bundesliga. Playing in a 4-3-3 formation, the World XI would be like this:

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech is the most consistent and secure shot stopper currently around.

His experience and elasticity helped Chelsea to secure the third place last season and allowed the blues to earn the 2011/2012 Champions League were he was superb.

Although his national team (Czech Republic) is not among the strongest teams, they are constantly present into the EURO and World Cup tournaments due to his brilliant saves.

Right-back: Philip Lahm is the most complete full-back playing football in the world. He can Attack and defend with the same high quality.

He is smart, fast, great cross and pass quality and vision. he has helped his team to gain the triplet last season. Although he is getting old he still looks fresh.

Centre-back: Mats Hummels, the strong and confident defender from Borussia Dortmund and the Germany national team was incredible against last season.

In terms of positioning and marking he is excellent. And last season he was far away the best defender playing in Europe. A remarkable game was against Real Madrid in both games of the semi-finals of Champions League.

Centre-back: Sergio Ramos is now the boss of the Spain and Real Madrid defence. His aggressive and fast playing style are qualities that make him a great defender. He is also efficient in air games and he has a great reaction.

Left-back: David Alaba is the most consistent left back currently, he is fast, with great ball control and is efficient when attacking and defending. He also has a powerful long shot and great crossing quality. His national team is not popular in the world football but the young player has done a great job in Bayern Munchen and he deserves more credit from football fans.

Defensive midfield: Bastian Schweinsteiger is the leader of Bayern and Germany's midfield.

He is an experienced player with a great passing range. He also is an excellent distributor with wide vision and either long or short quality pass. This player has a powerful long shot.

Centre-midfield: Andrea Pirlo is still the key player for Juventus and for the Italian national team.

He is a master free-kick taker and is also a terrific passer of the ball. His experience is a key factor in important games and adding to his ability to tackle and set up counter attacks.

Attacking-midfield:  Andres Iniesta is the ideal player for this position. He is smart, fast, has good positioning and can attack and work defensively as well.

He as an excellent ball possession, pass quality, and game vision too. He can create goals opportunities and control the game flow, he is a maestro.

Right forward: Arjen Robben is the kind of player that most of football fans do not give the right credit.

With a magical left foot and ball control like Messi, he also is fast and has great shot quality like Cristiano Ronaldo.

He was the one who handed Bayern Munich the victory in the last Champions League final. He has the ability to dribble and score.

Left forward: Cristiano Ronaldo is currently the best player in the world and the best player in this position.

His qualities are well known, so there is no way I could have left him out of my squad.

Centre forward: Lionel Messi is the perfect name to play in this position, with Ronaldo and Robben on sides there is no better name than the one who scored more than 60 goals last season and has four consecutive golden balls.

I feel sorry for many great strikers like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani, Robin van Persie, Robert Lewandowski, and Luis Suarez but Messi is no longer a midfielder as he is a goal machine.
