New Manchester United boss David Moyes is sure to come under fire if he is unable to bring in at least one big name to Old Trafford this summer.
The Scot has already failed in the pursuits of Cesc Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara in what has been a disappointing transfer window for both him and the club.
There is one player whoever that could yet save him, and that player is Mesut Ozil.
The 24-year-old joined current club Real Madrid back in 2010 but has never really cemented a place in the starting line-up.
With Madrid’s near-£90 million pursuit of Gareth Bale, Los Blancos are looking to offload those they seem surplus to requirements to fund the move, and Ozil is one of these players.
Carlo Ancelotti will attempt to hold out for around £35m for Ozil, who is also being linked with a move to Arsenal, however Madrid may be almost forced to sell him if United were to offer around £25m.
There is no doubt that the 24-year-old has the ability to perform in the Premier League, and Moyes should definitely at least consider attempting to bring him in before the transfer window slams shut.
