David Moyes wants Wayne Rooney to sign a contract extension deal to commit his future at Old Trafford.
Rooney, who was linked with a move to arch-rivals Chelsea, has decided not to submit transfer request after featuring in Monday night match against the club that are chasing him.
The England International, who produced a world-class performance on Monday, received a rousing support from the Old Trafford crowd in a goalless draw against the London club.
Rooney has been the subject of two rejected bids from Chelsea earlier this summer. While after earning a point against the Premier League champions, Blues' boss Jose Mourinho urged the striker to announce his decision in public within the next 48 hours.
While, according to reports from several sources, the 27-year-old has decided to stay put until the next summer and will not make any attempt to quit the Red Devils.
However, Manchester United officials want the striker to pen a deal deal with the club and decide his future alongside.
Rooney has been earning £250,000-a-week for the past three years at Old Trafford. Although, David Moyes wants the former Everton star to agree a deal which depends heavily on performances and appearances.
But the Dailymail understand that Rooney has no intention to sign a contract extension and is adamant to quit the club next summer.
