Arsene Wenger has admitted that he likes Juan Mata and would love to have him in his team, but has some doubts as to whether or not Chelsea would be willing to sell to a rival team.
The Spanish playmaker's future at Chelsea has been subject of speculation throughout the current transfer market and has been made even more unclear since the latest arrival at Chelsea of Willian - who has been recently bought into the club to help bolster their midfield.
The Spain international's omission from the Chelsea team which drew 0-0 at Old Trafford on Monday night only served to intensify rumours he could be sold before the transfer window closes.
The signing of Brazilian midfielder Willian has bought in more competition at Chelsea but manager Jose Mourinho has expressed that Juan Mata is not for sale.
"I like him," said Wenger, who was beaten to the former Valencia playmaker's signature by Chelsea two years ago.
"I watched the game last night and I've heard, like you, Juan Mata could be on the market.
"There is anyway in England a reluctance to sell to each other."
