Former Tottenham defender William Gallas could be offered a route back into English football with a move to newly-promoted Crystal Palace.
Manager Ian Holloway is keen to bolster his defence after the Eagles' three losses from three matches so far this season, including a 2-1 upset in the League Cup against League One Bristol City.
36-year-old Gallas was released by Tottenham at the end of last season and has previously had spells at fellow London clubs Chelsea and Arsenal since his arrival in England from Marseille in 2001.
The Frenchman's former manager Harry Redknapp is said to have been keen to bring the centre-back to QPR but Gallas could be offered the chance to resume his Premier League career with Crystal Palace if Holloway makes his interest concrete.
Former Arsenal captain Gallas would provide Ian Holloway's men with vital Premier League experience in their battle to avoid the drop, and has earned 84 caps for the French national side across his 18-year career.
The season may be only two games old, but Crystal Palace look as if they may struggle unless they add another major signing to a squad that looks light on Premier League experience as it is.
