Chelsea have finally completed the transfer of long-time target Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala on a five-year deal.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has been a target for the Blues since his days at Shakhtar Donetsk and now they have got their man at a price of £32m.

The Brazilian playmaker was expected to join Tottenham after having a medical with the north London club but opted for Stamford Bridge after Roman Abramovich hijacked their deal.

Manager Jose Mourinho had said he only wanted one more player, Wayne Rooney, but instead picked up another creative player.

Willian is a champion as he has won many trophies in Ukraine with Shakhtar and he also has lots of Champions League experience. He has impressed in Europe's top competition as recently as last season, when he scored a brace at Stamford Bridge against his current employers.

Willian now joins a host of Brazilians in the Premier League - and specifically at Chelsea. The likes of David Luiz, Ramires and Oscar will help the 25-year-old to settle quickly at Chelsea. Mourinho will be hoping Willian settles in quickly and can help the team in the coming weeks.

Willian's move has cast even more doubt about the future of Juan Mata at Chelsea. Mata has only played 65 minutes so far from three games and was on the bench against Manchester United and the opener against Hull City.
