Mario Balotelli has jokingly claimed that any comparisons between himself and Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic are complimentary to the mercurial Sweden captain.
The Italy international was signed by AC Milan in January to replace Ibrahimovic after he had departed for Paris the following summer, and Balotelli has been in fine form since his move to the San Siro.
Balotelli scored 12 goals in 13 appearances from the turn of the year until the end of last season, and there is now the expectation for the 23-year-old to surpass his achievements of last term.
Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, found the net an impressive 56 times in 86 matches for AC Milan during the two campaigns he spent playing for the Rossoneri prior to his high-profile transfer to the Parc des Princes.
Balotelli, though, believes that any comparisons made with Ibrahimovic's performances for Milan are misplaced, with the Italian cheekily suggesting he is superior to his illustrious rival.
"We are two different people, but comparing me to Zlatan is a compliment to him," Balotelli told Sky Italia.
