England: Five potential No.1 contenders (6)

Jack Butland

Stoke City's Jack Butland is no stranger to the England ranks, having represented his country at every level from the U16s to the senior team. He impressed during his time in the Championship with Birmingham City and reportedly turned down interest from Premier League title hopefuls Chelsea in the summer in order to secure a move to the Potteries.

Despite his move apparently relating to his desire for first-team football, 20-year-old Butland remains second-choice behind coveted Bosnian Asmir Begovic at the Britannia Stadium. If he harbours realistic hopes of adding to his solitary England cap - earned against Italy in 2012 - he will surely need to seek a loan move elsewhere.
