Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier looks set to stay in France after committing his future to the French club for at least another season, amid reports Arsenal wanted to sign the 22-year-old.
Wenger is yet to spend this transfer window, and with the deadline looming, the Frenchman looks set to add to his injury-plagued Gunners side.
Wenger has only added France U18 striker Yaya Sanogo to his squad so far, with many Gunners fans desperate for the club to make at least one high-profile signing this summer.
However, a potential deal for Grenier now looks unlikely after the French international pledged his future to the Stade Gerland club for at least another season following the club's Champions League exit to Spanish outfit Real Sociedad last night.
Speaking to RMC Sports, Grenier said: "There is no question to ask. I will stay at least one more season. I do not want to let go of the boat. It'll be hard (when I do) but then I must ask the president. But I'm good at Lyon."
Reports around France had suggested that Grenier could be set to leave Lyon following their Champions League exit yesterday, but the player seems happy to continue with Lyon in the Europa League.
