Japan international Shinji Kagawa wants to stay at Manchester United, according to his agent.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer after struggling to hold down a first-team place during his debut campaign with the Premier League giants.
Recent reports have claimed that Atletico Madrid are keen to take the former Borussia Dortmund star to the Vicente Calderon on a loan deal, but this has been categorically denied by the player's representative Thomas Kroth.
He told Kicker: "Atletico had the information that a loan move is possible. But that's not true. There's nothing to it. Shinji wants to stay in Manchester."
Kagawa joined the Red Devils in June 2012 for an initial fee of £12m after an impressive two-year spell with Dortmund.
He went on to score six goals in 27 appearances - including a memorable hat-trick against Norwich City - last season, but has yet to feature under new manager David Moyes, apart from a brief cameo in the 2-0 Community Shield win over Wigan Athletic earlier this month.
