Chelsea are closing in on the £3.5million capture of Christian Atsu, with the FC Porto winger set to snub Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool and sign in the next 24 hours, reports the Daily Mail.
The highly-rated Ghana international will arrive in west London before the weekend, and is expected to undergo a medical on Friday.
Atsu will become Jose Mourinho's fourth signing since returning to the Stamford Bridge hot-seat over the summer, following the capture of Andre Schurrle, Marko van Ginkel and Willian.
It's understood that Porto want a sell-on clause inserted into the deal for the 23-year-old, who has attracted widespread Premier League interest, with newcomers Cardiff City also joining Spurs and Liverpool in the chase for his signature.
Once Atsu is confirmed as a Chelsea player, it will be the second time in the space of a week that Mourinho has beaten former Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas to a player, after hijacking Tottenham's proposed transfer for Willian.
Brendan Rodgers - who was also credited with an interest in the Brazil international - has been monitoring Atsu's situation at Estádio do Dragão, though it now looks highly unlikely that the African ace will move to Anfield, as his Chelsea deal edges closer.
