Jose Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge was greatly anticipated by fans and the media alike.
And the self titled 'Special One' is never one to disappoint. Making his comeback with three games unbeaten in the league, the Chelsea manager will be looking to extend his good start to the season with a win against German giants Bayern Munich in the Super Cup tomorrow night, which would secure Chelsea's first piece of silverware this season.
Mourinho has made some key signings for the club during this summer transfer window.
New signing Andre Schurrle is delighted with his move to Chelsea and told CFC website: "I can only say positive things about chelsea, I am proud to be a blue and my first few weeks have been excellent.
"Mourinho works closely with the squad and players what he expects, he is stern but has a sense of humour'.
Blues goalie Peter Cech also expressed his joy at Mourinho's return to the club.
"We have had a lot of success with jose in the past so Im glad we have a chance to repeat it and go even further," the shot-stopper, signed by Mourinho during his first stint in charge, said.
It seems that players, fans and manager are all happy with the re-appointment of Mourinho at the beginning of this season. But as we all know football is a very fickle game and can turn sour very quickly.
Mourinho's shock exit in 2007 left chelsea fans stunned and the Chelsea faithful will not want to see a repeat.
Mourinho seems perfectly happy where he is and told CFC: "I am in the club I want to be, in the country I want to be. I think thats a privilege."
