Tottenham are willing to send Lewis Holtby on loan this season if they wrap up a deal for Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen, according to the Daily Mail.

And Spurs are also willing to consider offers for Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson once Eriksen is confirmed.

Holtby only joined the White Hart Lane club in the January transfer window, but he could be shipped out to free up space in the squad for new arrivals as the summer deadline looms.

The 22-year-old has missed the beginning of the season with a thigh injury, but recently returned for the Spurs under-21s against West Ham earlier this week.

He made 11 appearances last season, but there's been a huge amount of upheaval at the club this summer. With Lamela all but confirmed and Eriksen looking likely, the Germany international faces a real battle for a place in the first-team.

As a result, the report claims he may be allowed to leave the club on loan.

Sigurdsson also may be surplus to requirements should the Dane arrive. A £7m signing from Hoffenheim last year, the former-Reading man has flitted in and out of the starting eleven under Andre Villas-Boas.

Eriksen has reportedly been allowed to speak to Spurs officials regarding a move to White Hart Lane. The Denmark international is out of contract next summer, with a fee around the £12m mooted.
