Arsenal are set to bid £70 million for Real Madrid trio Mesut Ozil, Angel di Maria and Karim Benzema, according to the Daily Mail.
At the start of the summer, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger vowed that he would invest in new players and that he would use this season as a springboard for success.
Unfortunately for Arsenal fans he hasn't kept to his word and the only two players he has brought in so far this summer - Yaya Sanogo and Mathieu Flamini - were both free transfers. With just a few days left in the transfer window there isn't much time for this to change.
Arsenal are set to make a lucrative bid worth £70 million for the Real Madrid trio of Benzema, Ozil and Di Maria.
Signing these players would certainly put Arsene Wenger in the fans good books but do these three really want to leave Real Madrid? Why would they?
Well, with the imminent arrival of Gareth Bale, Di Maria could see his first-team spot taken away so Arsenal would be the perfect place for first-team opportunities.
A reason they may all want a move to the Emirates Stadium is a chance to experience Premier League football. Arguably, the Premier League is the most entertaining and exciting league in the world.
Now I am going to look at what these players could bring to Arsenal:
Karim Benzema - The French striker has a lot of talent with lethal finishing and good heading ability. He would fit Arsenal's striker criteria perfectly and could help propel them to bigger and better things.
Mesut Ozil - This boy knows how to pick out a pass. He has the potential to be the next Xavi or Andres Iniesta and with plenty of time left in his career he could easily prove this. Having Ozil at Arsenal could definitely give them edge and maybe help them to lift their first trophy in eight years.
Angel Di Maria - The Argentinian winger has a lot of ability on and off the ball. He is lightning quick and has excellent ball control. With him on the wing in the Premier League, Arsenal could tear defences into shreds by using his raw pace.
