Chelsea could be willing to sell their star striker Fernando Torres, reports the Daily Mirror.

Blues' boss Jose Mourinho is ready to listen offers for the Spanish striker and will allow him to move to the right price.

Torres, who joined Chelsea for British world record fee of £50million, has been struggling at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in January 2011.

Chelsea completed the signing of former Inter Milan and Barcelona star Samuel Eto'o this week and the London club now have plenty of options in the attack. The Blues are prepared to offload their prized assets and will consider bids from interested clubs.

The Metro understand that Torres' former club Liverpool could be a serious competitors for the signing of the 29-year-old.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola have reported that Liverpool are preparing bid for the former star striker's reunion and may attempt to land him before the transfer window shuts on September 2.

Meanwhile Chelsea local rivals Arsenal, who are yet to make a major signing this summer, have also been alerted by Torres' departure speculations.

Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger has failed to lure club's top target Luis Suarez to the Emirates and are ready to sign the unsettled Spaniard, who is willing to leave Chelsea to boost his World Cup chances.
