Kaka set to leave Madrid

Brazil international Kaka has issued a 'come and get me' plea to Europe after the 31-year-old announced his intention to leave Real Madrid this summer.

Kaka joined Madrid in 2009 for a then world record £56million fee, but failed to find the world-class form that saw him voted the Ballon D'or winner in 2007.

Accompanied by injuries and falling out of favour with the numerous managers, Kaka has been restricted to just 120 appearances, and now battling for a starting place with fellow attacking midfielders Mesut Ozil, Isco and Luka Modric, the 31-year-old now views his future away from the Galatico's.

"The club knows I want to leave and I would like them to help me find a solution for my exit," he said.

"Things are difficult for me here, there is less room in the squad all the time.

"I am ready every day to train and work but that does not mean that I am happy."

With a home World Cup on the horizon in his native Brazil, Kaka has ruled out a return to Brazil.

"I cannot go to Brazil because the market is closed, the exit would be within Europe," he said.

Kaka could become an option for Arsenal who are in much need of strengthening ahead of what looks like one of the closest Premier League campaigns ever.

Arsenal have failed to spend a penny in this summers transfer window, recruiting only Yaya Sanogo and Mathieu Flamini on free transfers.

The price tag for the samba star remains unknown but after years of failing to find his top form, it will be a fraction of the £56million Los Blancos paid in 2009.
