1. Neymar (Barcelona)

The youngest player to have won the South American Footballer of the Year in 2011, Neymar was also nominated for the Ballon d’Or later that year, finishing in tenth position.

He emerged at Brazilian club Santos and immediately showed great dribbling prowess, acceleration and finishing qualities.

Neymar joined Barcelona in 2013 for a massive £50million, before winning the Silver Boot at the 2013 Confederations Cup.

He is already Brazil’s key player and has been tipped to lead the home nation to World Cup glory in 2014.

The 21-year-old scored his first competitive goal for the Catalan club against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Supercopa 2013, which was the decisive goal in clinching the title on away goals.

Many people are predicting Neymar to one day become the best footballer the world has ever seen.
