Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna is in confident mood ahead of Sunday's north London derby match at home to Tottenham.
The Frenchman has been deployed as a centre-back for the majority of his playing time this season, after the suspension and then injury of Laurent Koscielny, but has impressed in his new role.
This has coincided with an upturn in fortunes for the Gunners, following their opening day defeat to Aston Villa, and Sagna is hopeful of keeping that run going.
“As I have said before, we can beat anyone. We have very talented players who are young and motivated," the Frenchman said.
“This game is one of the highlights of the season because it is a derby and we know how important it is for the fans, the club and the players to win it. The atmosphere is just magic and it will be even more magic if we win on Sunday.”
Arsenal have been very quiet in the transfer market so far this summer, in complete contrast to Saturday's opponents who have spent almost £90million strengthening a team that could be shorn of Gareth Bale imminently.
However Sagna doesn't envisage this will weaken Spurs too much and said: “Of course he was really important for their team but they have many other players.
“Most of them play for their national teams and we know it is not going to be easy."
