Tottenham Hotspur announced the signing of 21-year old Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen on Friday evening.
This was Tottenham's third singing on Friday after he agreed a deal with the north London club, the fee for Eriksen is believed to be around the £11.5 million mark.
This brings Tottenham's total summer spending to over a £100 million. Eriksen joins, Vlad Chiriches and Erik Lamela, who were both announced as signings by Spurs earlier in the day.
These three signings will join the other the other signing that Andre Villas-Boas has assembled over the summer in Paulinho, Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli and Etienne Capoue.
Eriksen has made 161 appearances for Ajax and has played alongside Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen. Eriksen is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in football, and has been on Spurs' radar for quite some time.
When speaking about his move to Spurs, Eriksen said: "Everyone has followed the development of Spurs and it's something I want to be part of."
With a deal being agreed for Eriksen, it will now mean that Gareth bale will most likely be given the green light to go to Real Madrid, as Tottenham's restructuring has now almost been completed. This deal however may have to wait for after the north London derby this weekend.
