Unbeaten teams Liverpool and Manchester United met today at Anfield in what promised to be one of the fixtures of the season.
In form Daniel Sturridge set the ball rolling in the fourth minute for Liverpool, with a glancing header into David De Gea's goal.
From then on, Liverpool dominated the first half, with United barely seeing the ball in Liverpool's half.
United, who lost the injured Phil Jones in the first half, were disjointed but improved slightly after the break.
Substitute Nani went close before Robin van Persie fired wide with David Moyes still looking for his first win at Anfield.
Moyes brought on Javier Hernandez with 17 minutes to go but the Mexican striker was unable to have a positive impact on the match for the Premier League champions.
The match finished 1-0 to Liverpool, continuing the Reds 100 per cent record in the Premier League and putting them at the top of the table
