Arsenal will pay outcast striker Nicklas Bendtner a massive £3m to leave the club for Crystal Palace, reports the Metro.
The Danish striker has not appeared in the Arsenal line up for two years after falling out of Arsene Wenger's first team plans.
Unsuccessful loan spells at both Sunderland and Juventus have left Bendtner even further out of the picture but, despite being available for next to nothing, the player is yet to agree a move away from the club.
A number of clubs, most notably SC Frankfurt and Hull City, have attempted to agree a deal only to find an impasse with regards to the player's wage demands.
Bendtner currently earns around £52,000-a-week at the Emirates and is not willing to settle for a penny less at another club.
This led to Wenger saying that Bendtner was unlikely to leave the club in the current transfer window.
He told a press conference: "The chance for him to leave now is very small. If he comes back well and gets fit, I will use him."
But now the Metro are reporting that Arsenal are so desperate to get rid of the 25-year-old that they are willing to give the player £3m to accept a contract offer from Ian Holloway at Crystal Palace.
The Eagles are thought to be offering a basic wage of £25,00-a-week, which the £3m would subsidise.
