Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hinted at a transfer surprise as we enter the final 24 hours of the transfer window.

The Gunners have only brought in two signings in Yaya Sanogo and Mathieu Flamini. Both were free transfers which means Arsenal are yet to spend any money with only hours to go before the transfer window slams shut again until January 2014.

Wenger has had bids for Gonzalo Higuain, Luis Suarez and Yohan Cabaye all fail to come off earlier this summer but the Arsenal boss is full of confidence going into the last day of the summer transfer window.

Wenger told the Daily Mirror: "I am not against spending money, but I want to add super quality to our squad - or not".

''Tottenham got a lot of money for Bale, they have to invest it - I understand  that. The need is different for us, we need one or two super players and we will try to add that.''

"We have 24 more hours, so maybe we can surprise you. Maybe not, but I am confident."

The Arsenal boss feels now that the Bale deal has gone through and now the Welshman is a Real Madrid player, Arsenal will now be able to bring in players as Real Madrid will possibly look to off load a few of their big name players.

Wenger added: "It is a little bit like a domino game. Maybe something will happen in the last 24 hours, maybe not. It is very difficult to predict."

Arsenal have been linked with a handful of Madrid's stars including Mesut Ozil, Di Maria, Casillas and Benzema.

The final hours of the transfer window will be very exciting for Arsenal fans to see who their club brings in come 11pm, with the four above mentioned all being big potential signings, but the question is can Wenger pull it off?
