It looks to be a case of second time lucky for Peter Odemwingie as a deadline day exit to Cardiff City is on the cards according to the Metro.
The Nigerian became the butt of widespread criticism and jokes in January when he attempted to engineer himself a move away from West Brom by driving down to QPR's training ground without permission.
No deal was agreed and the striker was left red faced in the club's car park and was forced to drive back to the midlands, tail between legs.
The infamous antics landed Odemwingie with a fine and a suspension as well as having to incur the wrath of furious Baggies fans, not helped when he took to Twitter to express his grievances further.
The jokes have been in full flow today to mark an anniversary of sorts; he was the worldwide top trending topic on twitter this morning.
However, the 32 year-old looks to have finally secured the exit he has driven so far for, literally.
Sky Sources state that Odemwingie is having a medical at Cardiff City after contract negotiations started yesterday - an offer of around £2.5 million was agreed between the two clubs.
Michael Laudrup's Swansea initially looked to be winning the race for the international striker, having lodged a £2 million bid last week but that was rejected.
Stoke City and Crystal Palace have also made their interest known but Malky Mackay's newly promoted outfit are set to seal the deal.
Despite having a healthy number of strikers at the club, the lure of a man who has scored 30 Premier League goals in two and a half seasons is too good for the Bluebirds to turn down.
