Aston Villa are hoping to secure a late deal for Lazio striker Libor Kozak.

According to SkySports, Paul Lambert has been looking to add to his strike force this summer but has yet to improve after loaning Darren Bent to Fulham.

Kozak, who is 24, has become an option for Villa after the Rome side have reportedly been in talks with Galatasaray to sign Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz.

The Lazio forward has got five caps for his country and has been at the club since 2008.

He has scored 22 goals in 76 appearances and stands at six feet, three inches.

Lambert is looking to support star man Christian Benteke with the new signing as he remains unsure on the viability of Andreas Weimann.

Villa face Newcastle at home in their next Premier League match and Lambert will be hoping he has acquired some added man-power in time to continue his side's impressive early form.
