Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway is set to chase a number of deadline-day signings.
As the end of the transfer window looms Nicklas Bendtner, Adrian Mariappa and Barry Bannan are all on Crystal Palace's radar.
Palace earlier today confirmed the signing of defender Jack Hunt from Huddersfield on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The defender will add much-needed cover for Ian Holloway's side.
The Eagles are expected to swoop for Reading defender Adrian Mariappa, while Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has also been linked with the club.
Bendtner has been at Crystal Palace's training ground and could be set to join former Arsenal team-mate Marouane Chamakh who has already made the switch from the Emirates to Selhurst Park.
Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan and Reading centre-half Adrian Mariappa have both undergone medicals at the Palace training ground ahead of purposed moves to the club.
Reported by The Sun, Holloway expressed that he hasn't rushed into any rash transfer bids and is waiting for the right players, "We haven’t done it yet, it just takes time to get people you want. The Palace manager went on to add: “It takes a really big squad in this division to have a chance so hopefully we can add four or maybe five.”
Holloway claimed the Premier League newcomers would do all they could to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closed later tonight: "The chairman and I have been working so hard to bring some more people in.
"We need to get some strength in depth to help these boys and I won't block up the youth either because to see Jonny Williams and Stuey O'Keefe coming on, that's the Palace way really."
Holloway will have to move quickly to make these singings before the transfer window slams shut at 11pm.
