Julian Draxler (FC Schalke to Arsenal)

Arsene Wenger has been criticised by fans due to the lack of big name signings this summer. The Gunners manager is insistent that there is enough quality at the club already.

But things took a dramatic turn after their 1-0 win over North London rivals Tottenham. Wenger revealed in his post-match interview that Arsenal fans were in for a surprise or two before the transfer window closes.

Could it be FC Schalke's Julian Draxler? He is one of the highly rated youngster, and has already admitted he could leave FC Schalke this summer, according to Metro.

He has a buy-out clause of £34m, while Arsenal are planning to table an initial bid of £25m. It remains to be seen whether the German club are willing to do business.

If Wenger can pull off this sensational deal, he should silence the majority of his doubters.
