Red Bull have confirmed the appointment of Daniel Ricciardo as the replacement for Mark Webber in 2014.
The 24-year old will make the move up from Toro Rosso completing the same path his future team-mate Sebastian Vettel took on his rise to the top.
In what was becoming a farcical merry-go-round of F1 drivers, Kimi Raikkonen, Jean Eric-Vergne and Jenson Button were all linked with the soon-to-be vacant seat.
The team have now put to bed any rumours by confirming the worst kept secret in the sport.
After the announcement was made Red Bull released this video commemorating the announcement.
