Fulham have signed Montenegro defender Elsad Zverotic from Swiss side Young Boys.
Martin Jol's side signed the player for an undisclosed fee late on transfer deadline day.
The Montengro international has played in the Swiss top flight since 2011 and made 52 appearances for the club.
Zverotic scored against England in the Euro 2012 qualifiers and the strike was one of just three goals he has for his country.
Fulham lost Kieran Richardson to injury in their first Premier League of the new season, a 1-0 defeat victory against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, and also needed a replacement defender.
A Fulham club statement read: "He is a versatile defensive player who can operate in midfield and along the back line."
The Cottagers also added the likes of Adel Taarabt and Darren Bent during the summer transfer window.
Martin Jol's team face West Bromwich Albion on September 14 in their next Premier League match after the international break.
