Mesut Ozil, one of the best midfielders in the world, was the shock signing of the summer, joining Arsenal for a club record £42.4 million on transfer deadline day.
However, ex-Tottenham star Gareth Bale has left for Real Madrid for a world record fee. The Welshman was set to be on the FIFA 14 cover, but will have to be replaced with a player who plays in the Premier League for the UK release of the game - and who better to replace him than new signing Mesut Ozil?
The man Jose Mourinho says is the 'best no.10 in the world' could be on the cover, however there are other contenders like Robin van Persie who is equally as deserving of the role.
Ozil was the main man in midfield for Real Madrid in his first season, however was pushed down to the bench when new arrivals turned up at the Bernabeu. The German wasn't too happy about it either, and has since secured a move to north London with Arsenal.
It's unlikely that he'll be on the cover, bearing in mind he hasn't kicked a ball in an Arsenal shirt to date, however EA rate him highly in their game, with a rating of 87.
The midfielder is currently on international duty with Germany and passed his medical in his home country before putting pen-to-paper on a long-term deal with the Gunners.
