Chelsea have missed out on highly rated Portuguese winger Bruma.
The 18-year-old has signed a contract with Galatasaray, according to the Turkish giants, with the youngster putting pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Super Lig side.
Bruma only made his debut for Sporting Lisbon back in February, but has quickly risen to prominence following several impressive displays for his country during the U20 World Cup. He scored four goals in five games.
It led to speculation over a move to the Premier League, with new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho reportedly keen to bring a player dubbed ‘the next Cristiano Ronaldo’ to Stamford Bridge.
However, the Blues boss has missed out on his compatriot, with Gala bringing the player to the Türk Telekom Arena in a €10million deal.
Chelsea were relatively quiet on transfer deadline day, with Romelu Lukaku leaving the club on loan once again. Mourinho did block Demba Ba's exit however, whilst Samuel Eto'o was added to the ranks last month.
Bruma will not be joining the Cameroonian legend in west London.
