Manchester United right-back Rafael da Silva could be in line to make a return from injury against Premier League new boys Crystal Palace.
The Brazilian, who was one of the Premier League champions' best players last season, had been ruled out for four weeks after picking up a thigh injury in United's Community Shield tie win against Wigan Athletic.
Rafael lasted just 13 minutes during United's 2-0 win against Wigan after he seemed to have damaged his left hamstring.
News of Rafael's return, who announced on his official Instagram account that he will be back in training next week, will be a timely boost for Manchester United manager David Moyes.
Phil Jones, who has been deputising for Rafael, had to be substituted during the first half of United's match against Liverpool after picking up an ankle injury.
Fellow defender Chris Smalling is also capable at playing at right-back but the England international does not add as much going forward as Rafael.
