Manchester United have completed the signing of Zurich youngster Saidy Janko, according to the club's official website.

The 17-year-old joins the Premier League champions for an undisclosed fee. Born in Switzerland, Janko has a Gambian father and a Swiss/Italian mother.

Generally a right-sided player, Janko plays behind the wing, as a full back. The Zurich starlet will become David Moyes' third signing of the summer after the arrival of Guillermo Varela and the star signing of former Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

Manchester United failed to land Moyes' prime target Leighton Baines, also a full back. Uruguayan youngster Varela, who was Moyes' first signing for Manchester United, is also a right-sided full back.

Janko reportedly impressed Red Devils officials when he featured in a trial spell at the Aon Training Complex.

Manchester United, who suffered a 1-0 defeat in their last Premier League fixtures against fierce rivals Liverpool at Anfield, are back in action on September 14 with a home clash against newly-promoted Crystal Palace.
