Tottenham Hotspur striker Cristian Ceballos has joined Primeira Liga new boys Arouca on a season-long loan deal, reports talkSPORT.
The 20-year-old moves to Portugal to continue the next stage of his development, after struggling to make a first-team breakthrough in north London.
Ceballos moved to White Hart Lane from Barcelona in 2011, but has been restricted to reserve and youth team appearances during his time in England.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has high hopes for the Spaniard, but thought it best to send the player out on loan, to gain experience of regular senior football.
That's something Ceballos will be afforded at Arouca, who are making the step up into the Portuguese top-flight after finishing second in the Segunda Liga in 2012/13.
Tottenham have made a habit of sending out a number of exciting youth players this summer, with Tom Carroll completing a deadline-day loan move to Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers, with the hope that he - along with Ceballos - will continue to grow, and mature, in order to eventually realise their potential in the Premier League.
