Former Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas, has declared that he was never going to join United, according to Standard Sport.

Despite the Red Devils being heavily linked with brining him back to the Premier League, the Spaniard has said that he never once considered leaving Barcelona.

United saw two bids for Fabregas rejected over the course of the summer transfer window, and eventually gave up when their target publicly stated that he wanted to remain at the Nou Camp.

Having to fight for a place in a midfield than boasts the likes of Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets has meant that the 26-year-old has found regular playing time hard to come by, but Fabregas insists that his only aim is to play and win for the Spanish champions.

"The only thing in my head is triumphing at Barcelona," said Fabregas.

"When I arrived at Barcelona I already knew there were other places where I could earn more or where I could have more minutes, but coming to Barca was my dream."

The former Gunners favourite made it clear how committed he was to his boy-hood club. He said: "It was my dream since I was small. I wouldn't go, not even for double the money."
