Everton boss Robert Martinez has praised his new loan acquisition Romelu Lukaku and believes the striker can make Everton fans very happy this season.
Lukaku sealed a switch to Goodison Park on deadline day after finding first-team opportunities hard to come by at Chelsea and will spend a season with Everton in the hope that it will boost his World Cup aspirations.
The Belgian had been expected to make a big impact at Chelsea this season, especially with the indifference in form of both Fernando Torres and Demba Ba.
But the arrival of Samuel Eto'o has forced him to seek regular football, something Martinez was delighted about when speaking to evertontv.
He said to reporters: "It's going to be really exciting to see Romelu developing and growing and if he can do that in an Everton shirt, he's going to bring a lot of smiles to all our fans. He's still a young man but he's got everything.
"What he's achieved already is impressive. Probably the biggest point is that we all feel it is time to kick on and carry on achieving.
"He had a massive move at a very young age and we all know what he's capable of doing in the Barclays Premier League," Martinez added.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan with West Brom, scoring 17 goals in the Premier League and causing havoc amongst defences and the Everton boss will be hoping he can recreate that form for his new side.
