Premier League: Six-horse race for the title? (3)

Manchester City

After a disappointing last campaign, it has been all change at the Etihad this summer.

After losing out to underdogs Wigan in the F.A Cup final, exiting the Champions League early on, and nearly gifting second place to Chelsea despite being a significant distance in front of them for the majority of the season, Roberto Mancini was given the boot and in stepped Manuel Pellegrini to the City hot-seat.

So far Pellegrini has gone about his business in robust fashion - adding several high-profile and big-money signings to his squad. Fernandinho, Jesus Navas, Stevan Jovetic, Alvaro Negredo and Martin Demichelis will all look to step up to the mark for City this season.

Mind you, as proven in the early stages (with the 3-2 defeat to Premier League new-boys Cardiff standing out particularly) - a new manager with a host of new signings to English football and a new start will take time to gel.
