Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has admitted he never even considered a move away from the Camp Nou and earns less money now than he did at Arsenal.
The former Arsenal captain attracted plenty of attention over the summer as rumours spread of a return to the Premier League.
Fabregas kept quiet during the speculation, which, as usual, cast further doubt over his future. However, Barcelona turned down two bids from Manchester United for their number four, showing how important the Spain international is to the Catalan giants.
"I would not have moved from Barcelona - not even for more money," he said.
United's original offer was £25 million which they later increased to £30 million, but the Spanish international has admitted he wouldn't have left his boyhood club for triple his current salary.
"I wouldn't have gone for double or even triple the amount I earn now. I paid out of my own pocket to join Barça - I earned more at Arsenal," he added.
When the bids were rejected and the Premier League champions gave up their pursuit, Fabregas then spoke of his continuing desire to play for Barcelona, and the former Arsenal captain confirmed United did not personally approach him.
"United did not speak with me, and I've always said the only thing on my mind is Barça," he concluded.
