Jose Mourinho believes his Chelsea side are major contenders to win the Barclays Premier League this season.
Speaking to Chelsea TV, he said: "We have that (balance in the squad). We have two players per position, with three strikers and an extra midfield player.
"Every position is covered and we are very happy with what we have."
Bringing in Brazilian playmaker Willian and veteran forward Samuel Eto'o during this summer's transfer window, the Blues manager is confident that the duo will bring added strength and depth to the team.
The Chelsea boss is already delighted with the desire shown by the new pair, and in particular he singled out Eto'o for praise.
"Samuel is a very experienced striker as everybody knows and a winner,He is a guy who in spite of winning everything, he never lost his desire to win".
The self-titled 'Special One" added: "Samuel comes to England with the same objective with which I went to Spain - he wants to be the first one to win the Spanish, the Italian and the English league as a player. He always wanted to play in the Premier League so he comes with big motivation.
The Blues boss then went on to speak about new Brazilian signing Willian and is in no doubt the player will bring something different to his line-up.
"Willian is a creative player and for his qualities, I think he needs a bit of time to express himself," he said.
"He is very creative, fast and dynamic and can play in all three positions behind the striker".
The duo were added to an already strong, creative Blues squad and will make a big difference to Chelsea’s title hopes.
Mourinho, who returned to the Stamford Bridge-based club this summer is confident in his new and improved side. The West London club will definitely be ones to watch in this season's title race.
