With the arrival of David Moyes, competition for places and new arrivals in the transfer window, the Manchester United pecking order is to be shaken up.

Five players have been identified as possible departures by GMS Academy member James Howson.

1) Anders Lindegaard

Lindegaard must now recede the number 1 jersey to De Gea, with the latter being the number 1 even after arriving a year after Lindegaard. The £4.4 million signing is now 29 and must seek to play elsewhere if he intends to play regular football or settle for the bench, where Ben Amos may soon be challenging for position.

2) Patrice Evra

With the ripe speculation regarding Leighton Baines and Fabio Coentrao through the summer transfer window set to continue in January, Evra should be worried about what Moyes' intentions are.

Back up for the Left Back spot is adequate, with Fabio and Buttner both young players content with waiting for an opportunity, meaning that isn't an intention for Moyes. Recent footage of Evra apparently bullying Anderson may not go down well with a well-judged manager such as David Moyes.

3) Alexander Buttner

This may come as a surprise inclusion, however Buttner's potential loan move to Celtic may prove important in his long-term career. Feelings are that he may be well-suited at a club like Celtic where United may also closely monitor his progress and decide if he has the necessary ability to progress. He may well be playing for Celtic FC in five years time.

4) Anderson

Anderson is beginning to find opportunities limited and may well find future opportunities even more hard to come by due to Moyes' seeming to favour Tom Cleverly to partner Carrick in the centre.

The arrival of Fellaini coupled with the fan's hope to see Kagawa in more action makes the outlook bleak for Anderson.

5) Federico Macheda

Macheda may have a loan spell yet with Hernandez and Welbeck the firm favourites among the younger forwards and the presence of Henriquez, United may see no future use for a player who's already had a chance in the first team to prove himself and establish a position.
