Arsenal fans are still basking in the joy of the deadline day arrival of ace midfielder Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid for a club-record fee of £42.4 million.
The midfielder arrived at the Emirates stadium after a last minute swoop by Arsenal which saw the Gunners' boss break the bank to bring the German international to England.
Ozil arrives Arsenal to the delight of Gooners who have been worried by the lack of world-class signings by Wenger since the summer window opened.
Gunners fans as well as some critics of Wenger's policy, believe that for Arsenal to genuinely compete for silverware, they need to spend in the transfer market to bring in top-class and experience players to the Emirates.
The signing of Ozil which has left Madrid fans and players alike sad, has in some ways placated Wenger's critic. But how well can the German international fit into the Arsenal team structure?
The player brings with him finesse, intuition and creativity and a play which suits Arsenal's playing style.
It is however hoped that he adapts to the Premier League as soon as possible as this is vital to the fragile player unleashing his potentials to the fullest for Arsenal.
Already, Arsenal players have reacted ecstatically about Ozil's signing. Podolski, Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey have all tweeted enthusiastically about their new team-mate. Thus settling down won't be a problem for Ozil as he has been welcomed into the team.
The player also joins fellow German international team-mates Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski at the Emirates. Wenger speaks German as well, so communication will pose little challenge.
Also, the 24-year-old midfielder who is well known in Madrid as 'the king of the assist has over the past five seasons provided more assists and created more chances than any other player in Europe's top five leagues. This will go a long way in bringing succour to Arsenal who sometimes struggle to create chances.
Although the Gunners' woes lie more in taking rather than creating chances, the midfield maestro still comes in handy as he is also terrific at banging in goals.
Ozil who featured for Los Blancos 158 times is credited to have scored 27 goals in all competitions for Madrid. For a midfielder, this is no mean feat and it shows his flair for attack.
With the player joining the Gunners with these sorts of pedigrees, there is little doubt the midfielder will succeed at Arsenal.
One thing is certain though, Ozil comes in with lots of expectations on his fragile shoulders. It is hoped that the midfielder does not crumble under the weight of expectations.
