With the transfer window now closed you may think that the movement of players between clubs is over but with the loan registration window set to open for the Football League on Tuesday its time to think again.

We take a look at five Manchester United prospects who will be looking to take advantage of the chance for first team football;

Michael Keane

After a successful loan stint at Leicester City last term Keane will be hoping for a second bite at the loan cherry. With five senior central defenders to call on, David Moyes is unlikely to need to call on Keane’s services and Nigel Pearson will most likely be keen to take the centre-half back to boost City’s promotion push.

Jesse Lingard

One of the stars of United’s pre-season campaign, Lingard enjoyed a less successful stint at the King Power Stadium than teammate Keane but will be hoping to get another chance to impress. After reported interest from Everton, Championship clubs are sure to be queuing up to take the pocket sized midfielder on a temporary deal.

Guillermo Varela

Moyes’ first and very nearly only summer recruit was heavily linked with a loan move to Argentine outfit Boca Juniors only to remain at Old Trafford. United may well choose to keep the full-back in order to help him settle in and find his feet at the club, looking to blood him in the Capital One cup and loan him out in January.

Tyler Blackett

The towering left-back who can also play further forward or in the heart of the defence was a surprise inclusion on last year’s pre-season tour but went on to endure a mixed season at reserve level. Blackett may be keen to first establish himself in the reserve side but given his physique and ability to play in a number of positions it wouldn’t be a surprise t see a short term move at some point of the season to whet his appetite for senior football and test his capabilities.

Adnan Januzaj

Another star of pre-season Belgian born Januzaj looks set for a loan move after being surprisingly left out of United’s 25-man Champions League Squad. Technically gifted with quick feet and an eye for goal, a loan spell and exposure to senior football will help develop the physical side of this exciting prospects game and mental aptitude.
