Dutch footballing expert, Marcel van der Kraan, has claimed that Robin van Persie thinks David Moyes is "fantastic".

According to talkSPORT.com, whilst talking to Kick Off, Van der Kraan completely rubbished the rumours that Van Persie isn't convinced by his new manager and dismissed talk that the Dutch striker didn't want to remain at United in the wake of Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement.

'This summer I was on tour with Robin van Persie and the Dutch national team in Jakarta where Robin was made captain of Holland. He said he was really looking forward to the new season because he'd won one championship, and he said 'I'm really really sorry to see Mr. Ferguson go', and to explain to you how English he has become, he talks about the 'gaffer,' Van der Kraan said.

'He said "the gaffers gone, but the gaffer's told me that we're getting a new really really top boss. Moyes is a really good coach". So Robin said, "I'm looking forward", if the gaffer says that he believes it because he's built up a really fantastic understanding with Mr. Ferguson.

'When Moyes came, he joined only later in the pre-season, because he travelled so much with the Dutch team in Asia. He flew into Sydney when the team was already training, and Robin joined at a time when Moyes was giving the squad some really tough training. As I understand, that has been his sort of method all through his career.'

The footballing expert then went on to reveal how he had personally spoken with Van Persie at the start of United's campaign, and asked him whether or not he had experienced a change of heart regarding his future.

'I was wondering, and I said to Robin "have you changed your mind yet?". And he said "no, this guy is fantastic. The gaffer wasn't wrong. He's really good, he's fantastic."

'He [Van Persie] said, "man, I absolutely love it. Every time I go out on the training pitch I love it. This is the real man for this job."

Despite various newspapers reporting that Van Persie is finding it hard to adapt to life under Moyes, if Van der Kraan is to be believed then the reigning Premier League golden boot is anything but frustrated.
