Tottenham Hotspur have stepped up their interest in PSG starlet Adrien Rabiot, and are aiming at purchasing him in January, claims the Metro.

Spurs, having already spent over £100million on transfers this summer, are targeting the 18-year-old sensation, and Andre Villas-Boas has ordered his scouts to keep him up to date with how Rabiot is performing.

Totteham want PSG starlet in January
The young Frenchman has emerged as a realistic target for the January transfer window for Tottenham, and it's believed that they will make their move for him sooner rather than later.

The lack of first-team opportunities at mega-rich PSG could tempt Rabiot into a move to England, but the French champions are unlikely to let one of their home-grown assets leave without a fight.

The highly-rated youngster has played three times for the senior team so far this campaign and scored once, meaning that they clearly see him as having some sort of future in France. One cannot help but wonder if he'll be allowed to leave at all in January, if he continues to impress at PSG.

Daniel Levy has so far this season shown that he is not afraid to splash the cash however, breaking the club transfer record three times in the process of acquiring Paulinho, Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela.
