One Direction star wiped out in charity football match

One Direction band member Louis Tomlinson was wiped out by Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor whilst taking part in a charity football match for Stiliyan Petrov at Parkhead on Sunday.

The teen pop idol joined a star-studded list of celebrities who turned out in support of the former Celtic captain, who organised the fixture to raise money for a number of different causes close to his heart.

Petrov was diagnosed with acute leukaemia in March 2012, which forced him to retire from football earlier this year.

The former Bulgaria international is now in remission, and played the first 30 minutes of the 5-3 victory for his self-picked 'legends' side against a Celtic XI.

Dimitar Berbatov netted a hat-trick, and there were also appearances from Hoops fans' favourite Henrik Larsson, Jamie Redknapp, John Terry, Gareth Barry and Robert Pires.

Understandably, Tomlinson's cameo drew plenty of attention, particularly after he was injured by Agbonlahor from what looked like a fair - if not a little robust - challenge on the edge of the box.

The 21-year-old dusted himself dowand limped around gingerly before eventually being taken off, where he was later sick on the side of the pitch in front of the 60,000 strong crowd.
