Jack Butland - Stoke City
The Stoke ‘keeper will be 29 by the time the World Cup in Qatar rolls round and should be at the peak of his powers, ousting the aging Joe Hart to take the number one jersey.

Joe Hart - Manchester City
At 35 Hart may have had to surrender his right to the gloves but will be an able deputy to the junior Butland bringing a wealth of experience to boot.

Alex McCarthy - Reading
Reading stopper McCarthy impressed many with his performances for Reading in the Premier League last term. He’ll be hoping for a swift return to the top flight to showcase his abilities, though a move away from the Madejski may well be on the cards soon enough.
